To enhance performance, the Black Series underwent extensive weight reduction. Mercedes replaced the retractable hardtop with a fixed carbon-fiber roof, lowering the car’s center of gravity and reducing weight by approximately 550 pounds. The wider fenders and aggressive body kit, also made from carbon fiber, give the car a distinct and purposeful look, while the rear spoiler improves high-speed stability.
The suspension was upgraded with a fully adjustable coil-over system, allowing for more precise handling, while larger brakes and wider tracks further improve its on-track performance. The fixed roof and aggressive aero elements mark this as a car built for the track but still equipped with enough refinement for street use.
