Mercedes-Benz G-Class for Sale

The G-Class went on sale in 1979 as an off-roader for military and professional use, and it is still built on a ladder frame with three locking differentials, which is rare for a luxury SUV at this price. The current generation arrived for the 2019 model year with a new body, chassis and interior over the familiar shape. The main choice is between the G 550, with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, and the AMG G 63, which uses a more powerful version of the same engine; the G 63 has its own page. Specification varies widely, so compare option packages, wheels and interior, and the remaining factory warranty, and read the inspection report closely for signs of off-road use. Our guide to reading a pre-purchase inspection explains what to look for.
