1987 Ferrari 328 GTS

While approximately 6,068 GTS examples were produced, only a minuscule fraction left Maranello in this timeless silver-over-red combination, making it one of the most rarely-seen factory specifications. The cabin is trimmed in Rosso leather with contrasting red stitching, black leather accents across the dashboard and door panels, and beige cloth extending throughout the cockpit, rear bulkhead, and removable targa roof lining. Showing just 78,430 miles, this 328 GTS embodies Pininfarina's beautiful 80's wedge design with pop-up headlights, a removable roof panel, signature gated five-speed shifter, concave 16-inch Speedline five-spoke wheels, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, power windows, air conditioning, Veglia instrumentation, and a Kenwood stereo. Ferrari's fuel-injected 3.2-liter V8, produces 270 horsepower while paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential in a mid-engine configuration. In 2019, the car received extensive mechanical attention including connecting rod bearings, valve guides, piston rings, a water pump, thermostat, radiator, and additional supporting components, representing significant long-term maintenance that helps preserve both reliability and the driving experience.

The Ferrari 328 GTS debuted in 1985 as the evolution of the iconic 308, retaining its mid-engine layout while improving performance, reliability, and refinement. Designed by Pininfarina, the 328 introduced sharper lines, updated aerodynamics, and a more responsive 3.2-liter V8. It became one of Ferrari's most successful models of the era, praised for its balance, simplicity, and mechanical honesty. Today, the 328 is widely regarded as the perfect entry point into vintage Ferrari ownership, analog, approachable, and unmistakably Italian.

According to the CARFAX report, this 328 GTS has documented registration history in California, Mississippi, and Virginia, offering transparency rarely seen in vintage Ferraris. Multiple emissions inspections and consistent entries throughout its life reflect regular use and ongoing maintenance.

The 328 GTS offers something rare in the Ferrari world: a vintage model that is both collectible and genuinely enjoyable to drive. This example stands out with its classic Argento over Rosso specification, documented provenance, and significant mechanical investment.
